Wassily Chairs: learning the details!

Having a comfortable chair can make or break your working day and your back at the same time! One of the best contemporary designs for modern chairs was put forward by Architect and designer Marcel Breuer. The architect was a prolific designer but one of his best creations is credited to be The Wassily Chair. The chair was named after his beloved friend and colleague, Wassily Kandinsky. The designer convinced a local plumber and welder to merge several pieces of tubing into the cubist structure of the tube. Although he wanted to mass produce the Wassily chair, it did not happen. But over the years, the Wassily Chair caught the attention and imagination of several artists and it went into mass production. You can still source the design at online websites and own a modernist piece of art for a song!
